Owner-run, on the tools
Stefan Monty started Monty Electrical to run jobs the way he thinks they should be run: priced clearly, done properly the first time, and finished with the paperwork in order. He quotes the work, he’s on site, and he’s the person you call if you have a question.
That matters on both sides of the business. A builder wants to know the electrical package will be delivered to program with the documentation handed over. A homeowner wants to know the person in their house is qualified, tidy and straight with them. Being owner-run is how we make sure both happen.
Commercial and residential
We deliberately work across both. On the commercial side we take on fit-outs, new construction packages, main switchboards, planned maintenance, emergency lighting, test and tag, thermal imaging and data cabling for builders, businesses and property managers.
On the residential side we do switchboard upgrades, lighting, power, smoke alarm compliance, EV chargers, fault finding, renovations and new homes. Commercial work keeps our standards and documentation sharp. Residential work keeps us close to the people we’re working for.
Where we work
Our base in Mudgeeraba sits between the Tweed and Brisbane. We cover the whole Gold Coast, cross the border to the Tweed Coast, Byron Bay and Ballina, and head north through Logan to Brisbane. NSW work is carried out under the appropriate NSW licensing.
How we work
- Written quotes that set out the scope before any work starts
- Work to AS/NZS 3000 and the relevant standards, tested and certified
- SWMS and ITPs for commercial work, with test results and as-builts at handover
- We turn up when we say we will, and tell you early if anything changes
- Sites protected while we work and cleaned up when we leave
- Honest advice, including when something doesn’t need doing yet
