Retail and bulky goods
The Hyperdome and the surrounding retail and bulky goods strip keep a steady stream of tenancy work going. Shops change hands, brands refit, and larger showrooms reconfigure their floors. Our work here covers:

- Power for POS, signage, cool rooms and display equipment
- Emergency and exit lighting to suit new layouts
Inside a managed centre, we follow centre management’s contractor rules for hours, access and sign-off. For standalone showrooms, we work directly with the tenant or builder. Our retail and shopping centres page has more detail.
Trade and service businesses
Loganholme’s commercial streets include mechanics, panel shops, trade suppliers and small manufacturers. These sites need three phase power for hoists, compressors and workshop equipment, good lighting over work areas, and switchboards that can keep up as the business grows. We also do test and tag for workshop tools and leads, which many sites need to meet their safety obligations.
Family homes
Loganholme’s residential streets and neighbouring suburbs such as Shailer Park and Cornubia are mostly brick homes from the 1980s onwards, many on bigger blocks with pools and sheds. The jobs we do most often are:
- Switchboard upgrades to add safety switches and capacity
- Circuits for air conditioning and pool equipment
- Submains to sheds and workshops
- LED lighting upgrades, inside and out
- Fault finding on circuits that trip in wet weather
Wet weather faults
That last item comes up a lot. Outdoor outlets, garden lights, pool equipment and shed wiring all let moisture in over time, and the result is a safety switch that trips every time it rains. We isolate the circuit, find the fault and repair or replace the fitting. It is usually a simple fix once found, but it needs to be found properly rather than guessed at.
Near the river
Low-lying areas along the Logan River have been affected by flooding in past events. If you are in one of these areas and planning a renovation, we can talk through switchboard location and circuit layout so the installation is easier to recover after high water. After any flood, have the installation checked by a licensed electrician before the power goes back on.

For retail tenants, send us the shopfitter’s drawings and the centre’s tenancy design requirements if you have them. For homes and workshops, a few photos of the switchboard and the area you want work done in are a good start. Loganholme is right on our M1 route, so small jobs here are easy for us to fit in.
