Industrial Nerang
Nerang’s industrial estates, with easy access to the Pacific Motorway, are home to manufacturers, fabricators, trade businesses, storage and transport operators. These sites keep us busy with:

The town centre and local businesses
Nerang’s main street area has shops, cafes, medical practices and professional offices, many in older buildings. Older commercial buildings often need switchboard upgrades, more power for modern equipment and updated emergency lighting. For new tenants, we handle fit-outs of every size, from a small shopfront refresh to a full office or clinic build.
Older Queenslanders and timber homes
Nerang still has a good number of older timber homes, including high-set Queenslanders and post-war houses. They’re full of character, but many have wiring from a different era. When we work in these homes we often find:
- Old wiring types that have become brittle in hot roof spaces
- Switchboards with rewireable fuses and no safety switches
- Additions and under-house enclosures wired by previous owners
- Limited power points and lighting circuits for modern use
Timber homes with raised floors and open under-house areas can actually be easier to rewire than slab homes, because there’s access from below. If you’re renovating, it’s a good time to rewire and plan new circuits. At minimum, a switchboard upgrade with safety switches on all circuits is a sensible first step.
Units near the station
Around the train station and town centre, newer unit blocks and townhouses have added a lot of residents. Body corporates need common area maintenance and emergency lighting testing, while owners and landlords need smoke alarm compliance and small repairs. Gateway to the hinterland
West of the town, Nerang backs onto the state forest and the road up into the hinterland. Homes here are on larger, bushy blocks, with the same issues as other hinterland areas: storm damage, long runs to sheds, pumps and possums in the roof. Our fault finding service is often the first call after a storm.
Close to our base
Nerang is a short run up the motorway from Mudgeeraba, so it’s a regular part of our week for both commercial and residential work.
